Atlas 70000046 All Scales Signal System -- Universal Signal Control Board
Atlas 70000046 All Scales Signal System -- Universal Signal Control Board
The Atlas Universal Signal Control Board serves as the heart of the All-Scales Signal System circuitry. This plug-and-play system supports both common-anode and common-cathode signals, allowing you to model a variety of prototypical scenarios.
Key Features:
-
Stand Alone Operation
A single signal runs independently of other signals and displays appropriate aspects, such as red, yellow, and green, in a timed manner. -
Integrated ABS Block Signaling
By connecting multiple Signal Control Boards in a daisy chain, you can create a prototypical block signal system. The occupancy of blocks ahead and behind your train determines the aspects displayed by the signals. The number of blocks is easily managed through a simple jumper setting on each board. -
Approach-Only Signaling
For prototypes with signals that illuminate only when a train is nearby, the Signal Control Board includes a setting to enable this behavior. -
Flashing Aspects
Some railroads use flashing aspects, like flashing yellow or green, to provide additional indications for train crews, such as intermediate restrictions. These aspects are supported and can be automatically enabled for certain prototypes with a single jumper setting. -
Complex and Interlocking Signaling
When used with the Interlock Control Module, the system supports anything from simple turnout indications to complex route-based signaling. -
Manual Control
For ultimate customization, users can manually control signal aspects, including Red, Yellow, Flashing Yellow, and Flashing Green, with an automatic return to Green when appropriate. This feature is ideal for creating advanced CTC-like systems.
This versatile system is designed to meet the needs of model railroaders who want realistic, functional, and customizable signaling solutions.
